Virginia Gorsevski comes to the STAP Secretariat with nearly two decades of experience working in the field of conservation and climate change in the United States and in developing countries.
As a Programme Management Officer in the STAP Secretariat, Dr. Gorsevski is responsible for managing the international waters and climate change adaptation portfolio. Previously, she managed the biodiversity portfolio for STAP, including work on protected area management, wildlife and nature based solutions.
Dr. Gorsevski's prior research focused on the impact of conflict on land cover and land use change using satellite remote sensing.
